Vinicius Jr Extends Apology to The Madrid Club Fans
The attacker has registered 5 goals in 10 La Liga outings this season.
Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr has apologised to supporters for his conduct when replaced in the recent intense match against Barcelona victory.
The Brazilian was taken off in the second half and displayed his disappointment by going straight to the dressing room.
The Brazilian later returned to the sidelines and, after his side's 2-1 win, sought to engage the opposition's youngster Yamal during unsavoury final whistle scenes.
"Now I want to apologise to all the Madridistas for my behavior when I was taken off in the derby," he wrote on his account.
"Similarly to I have said in person during the latest session, I wish to apologise again to my colleagues, the club, and the club president.
"Sometimes emotion takes over me because I constantly desire to win and support my team. My winning mentality originates in the affection I feel for this team and all it symbolizes."
He signed for Madrid from his former club in the year 2018 for £38.7m and has scored triple figures in more than 300 games.
But his prospects in the Madrid is far from certain with speculation in the past few months stating that the club would consider allowing the 25-year-old depart if they were to receive a appropriate bid.
When he was replaced on that day, TV coverage from coverage provider Dazn picked him up saying: "Always me! I'm departing the side! It's better if I depart, I'm leaving."
In his most recent post on X, the athlete commented: "I promise to keep striving constantly for the welfare of the club, as I have performed since the very beginning."
