The New England Patriots equaled their top unbeaten stretch since the Brady period as they defeated AFC East rivals the New York Jets by 13 points in professional football

First-year standout Henderson led the way with three TDs as the Patriots secured an eighth straight win for the first time since iconic QB Tom Brady's last year with the franchise in the 2019 season

Signal-caller Maye threw for 281 yards and a TD, connecting on 25 passes from 34 throws

Victory increases the New England's lead at the top of the AFC East as they moved to a 9-2 record, with the Jets at the foot after dropping to two wins and eight losses

The visitors had gone in front at their home field with QB Fields rushing for a short rushing score to finish the New York's initial series

But the home team answered in the second period as the rookie ran in two seven-yard TDs before the ball carrier grabbed a reception from Maye at the back of the end zone halfway into the third period to push the score to 21 to 7

"It was a key occasion for him stepping up, and it's been great for him to keep earning playing time," Maye said of the rookie. "He wants to be excellent."

Fields connected with Metchie late in the third period to narrow the deficit for the Jets but Andy Borregales converted a two field goals in the final period as the Patriots sealed the win
