Charli XCX Plays a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Mockumentary Preview
Charli XCX is getting ready for a substantial film appearance in 2026, beginning with the satirical film titled The Moment.
Throughout the movie, she embodies what she calls as a hell version of her own persona.
It’s the realest depiction of the music business that I’ve ever seen, the performer remarked.
She elaborated in an interview: It’s not a tour documentary, but the idea originated from the expectation to make one.
A Glimpse into The Project
The first teaser, unveiled on recently, combines real clips from her recent tour with fictionalized off-stage interactions.
The mockumentary is directed and co-written by Aidan Zamiri, who shared that the plot focuses on a reality where the singer took completely different paths during the marketing of her smash hit album Brat.

Additionally, she agreed to appear in the actress’s maiden directing project A Tree in Blue.

Soundtrack Involvement
February will also include the debut of the filmmaker’s version of Wuthering Heights, which will include original songs from the artist.
Additionally, she will provide music for the film Mother Mary, featuring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, scheduled for release next year.
The film will be released on the 30th of January.
