A Pair of Suspects Charged for Prison Murder of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins

Two individuals now face murder charges after the incarceration fatality of ex-Lostprophets frontman and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.

Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 now face murder accusations and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to police authorities.

Watkins, 48, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after confessing to numerous sex crimes which included the attempted rape of a baby.

Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were confiscated.
